§ XV. Effective date.

Whereas, The immediate implementation of the provisions of this ordinance is necessary for the preservation of the public health, public safety, and general welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the St. Martin Parish Police Jury and publication and posting as required by law. Adopted by the St. Martin Parish Police Jury this 3rd day of January, 1978.

The vote on the foregoing Ordinance was as follows:

YEAS: Grady Dugas, Joseph Russo, Clyde George, Sr., Norman Landry, Lloyd Higginbotham, Mitchel Trahan, Alton Landry

NAYS: None

ABSENT: John D. Hebert

The Ordinance passed.
