§ 26-4. Parking vehicles, anchoring boats, etc.—On east Atchafalaya Protection Levee landings or ramps.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehicle, trailer, or aircraft or to park or store any movable object of any sort on the land-side and water-side of the East Atchafalaya Protection Levee landing or ramps located at Levee Stations 1372/22—1503/00 and 1522/00, Section 27, Township 13 South, Range 12 East in the parish; provided, however, that vehicles may enter upon such area solely for the purpose of loading and unloading. Supplies and equipment may likewise be temporarily placed thereon solely to facilitate loading and unloading, and for no other purpose.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to tie up, anchor or in any way secure any boat, ship or aircraft or watercraft of any kind to the bank of the East Atchafalaya River in the area hereinabove described in subsection (a) of this section, or to the ramps described therein, in an area running 50 feet wide along the bank of the East Atchafalaya Protection Levee landings or ramps except that boats, ships and other watercraft are hereby permitted to tie up to or anchor at the above-described 50-foot area solely to permit loading and unloading, and for no other purpose.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to place and/or construct any building or business establishment on or along the hereinabove defined landings or ramps.
