§ 2-63. Clerk of council.

  • (a)

    The parish council shall, by vote of a majority of its authorized membership, appoint a clerk of the council who shall serve at its pleasure. it shall be the duty and responsibility of the clerk to give notice of all council meetings to its members and the public, keep the journal of the proceedings, and shall serve as the official secretary of the council, performing such other duties as are assigned to it by law and/or the parish council.

    (b)

    The salary of the clerk of the parish council shall be $32,104.80, per annum.
