§ 38-73. Created, boundaries.

(a)

A hospital service district is hereby created within the parish and shall comprise and embrace all of that territory within the following described boundaries:

All of that territory contained within the boundaries of parish ward No. 4 of the parish and that part of the territory contained within the boundaries of parish ward No. 2 and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the east boundary line of police jury ward No. 4 with the south boundary line of police jury ward No. 2, being the southwest corner of Section 15, Township 9 South, Range 7 East; thence easterly along the south boundary line of police jury ward No. 2 to its intersection with the southwest corner of Section 15, Township 9 South, Range 8 East; thence south along the boundary line of police jury ward No. 2 to its intersection with Bayou LaRose; thence easterly and southerly along the north boundary line of Bayou LaRose, little Bayou DePlomb, Bayou Chene and Big Bayou Chene to the intersection of Big Bayou Chene with the south boundary line of Section 7, Township 11 South, Range 10 East; thence easterly along the south boundary lines of Sections 7 and 8, Township 11 South, Range 10 East, to the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and Iberville; thence northerly and northwesterly along the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and Iberville to the point where the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and Iberville intersect the Point Coupee Parish line; thence westerly along the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and Point Coupee to the point where the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and Point Coupee intersect the boundary line of St. Landry Parish; thence southerly along the boundary line between the Parishes of St. Martin and St. Landry to the point where the southeast corner of St. Landry Parish intersects the north boundary line of St. Martin Parish; thence southerly along the west bank of the Atchafalaya River to the southeast corner of Section 31, Township 8 South, Range 8 East; thence westerly along the south line of Section 31, Township 8 South, Range 8 East, and Sections 34, 35 and 36, Township 8 South, Range 7 East to the point of intersection with the east boundary line of parish ward No. 4; thence southerly along the boundary line between parish wards no. 4 and 2 to the point of beginning. All references in this section are to police jury wards as they existed on July 6, 1967.
