§ 40-30. Application for approval of preliminary plat.

(a)

On reaching conclusions informally as recommended in section 40-29 regarding his general program and objectives, the subdivider shall cause to be prepared a preliminary plat, together with improvements, plans, and other supplementary material specified in article III of this chapter.

(b)

The procedure for review and approval of a subdivision plat consists of two separate steps:

(1)

The initial step is the preparation and submission to the planning commission of a preliminary plat of the proposed subdivision.

(2)

The second step is the preparation and submission of the final plat together with required certificates to the planning commission. This final plat becomes the instrument to be recorded in the office of the Clerk of Court, St. Martin Parish, when duly signed by the secretary or chairperson of the planning commission.
