§ 40-78. Minimum surface widths and cross-sections.

(a)

Minimum surface widths and cross-sections shall conform to the major road plan:

	Urban Curb & Gutter Pavement	Urban Open Ditch Pavement	Rural Open Ditch 4" Gravel or 4" Shell
Local residential streets		20 ft. plus one
Marginal access streets	26 feet	8 ft. shelled parking lane	16 feet in width
Dead-end streets (cul-de-sacs)

(b)

Major streets are not usually surfaced by the developer in excess of 26 feet. Surfacing of streets may be at the discretion of the planning commission, but sufficient rights-of-way for major streets shall be dedicated.
