§ 40-244. Sanitary sewers.

When the subdivision is located within the service area of a public sewerage system, sanitary sewers shall be installed in such a manner as to serve adequately all lots with connections to the public system. Sewer connections shall comply with the regulations of the applicable state agencies and shall be constructed under the supervision of and approved by the parish health unit and engineering authority of the area. Where lots cannot be economically connected with a sewerage system, they must contain adequate area for the installation of approved individual sewage disposal facility, which must be approved in writing by the parish health officer.
