§ 12-55. Fire district steering committee duties.

Functions and responsibilities of the committee shall be as follows:
(1)

The steering committee is created and organized to advise and make recommendations with assistance from the coordinator to the government with regard to the operating of the FIRE District.

(2)

Notwithstanding subsection (1) of this section with regards to personnel matters affecting the volunteer firefighters, the steering committee has sole authority for the discipline and/or removal of any volunteer of all departments for failure to adhere to the Policy and Procedures Manual of the St. Martin Parish Fire District.
