§ 28-10. Prohibition against water skiing, jet skiing and hydro-gliding.

(a)

No person shall engage in the recreational activities of water skiing, jet skiing or hydro-gliding in the following areas of lower St. Martin Parish:

(1)

Stephensville Bridge South to Tom's Marina on Bayou Milhomme.

(2)

Stephensville Bridge North to powerline crossing near Maggie Island.

(3)

Old Bayou Long from Larry Doiron's Boat Landing to Scully Brother's Boat Builders.

(b)

The Sheriff of St. Martin Parish, the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, and the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries are hereby specifically authorized and requested to assist in the enforcement of the provisions of this section.

(c)

Any violations of the provisions of this section shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.00 plus court costs, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 30 days, or both, at the discretion of the court.
