Article II. CLAYTON BOUDREAUX MEMORIAL PARK |
§ 28-41. Rules ratified.
(a)
The following rules and regulations adopted by the Catahoula Community Committee for the use of the Boudreaux Memorial Park are hereby approved, ratified and accepted:
(1)
No vehicle shall be allowed on the playground except for special occasions as determined by the committee. Bicycles are excepted from this regulation, but all bicycle riders shall park their bikes at a place to be designated. No horses or other animals or livestock shall be allowed on the premises at any time.
(2)
There shall be no food, soft drink and beverage booths erected on the premises except with the prior approval of the committee and at the location to be designated by it.
(3)
Upon erection and installation of playground lights, a reasonable fee to be determined by the committee shall be charged for the use thereof, except for activities involving children.
(4)
Teams wishing to make use of the park shall first contact the secretary of the committee and shall be given a date for such use. Teams comprised of members residing in the Catahoula area shall be given first preference.
(5)
Teams holding and sponsoring tournaments shall deposit a fee of $25.00 to be held by the committee secretary and paid to him prior to the commencement of such tournament, said fee to be held pending the full cleaning and removal of all debris in the park within three days after the end of such tournament. Failure to adequately clean the park shall result in the forfeiture of such deposit. Teams wishing to sponsor tournaments at the park will be required to arrange for two uniformed deputies and/or policemen to be present at all times.

Teams shall designate a manager who shall utilize as a warm-up area that place designated by the committee secretary.
(7)
All team members shall remain in the dugouts unless at play. Not more than four players shall be allowed on the field during batting (two coaches at first and third base; the man at bat and the man on deck).
(8)
Bat boys shall be provided who will pick up all bats and return them immediately to the dugout. All remaining players and guests of players will remain in the dugout.
(9)
There shall be no food or drinks allowed on the playing field or in the dugouts.
(b)
Whoever violates the rules and regulations in subsection (a) of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined not more than $100.00 or imprisoned in the parish jail for not more than 30 days, or both, in the discretion of the court.
