§ 32-2. Permit for bridges, culverts, etc.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to construct or cause to be constructed and located any bridge, driveway or culvert-type crossing in, over or upon any road drainage channel, ditch or roadside ditch, forming a part of the parish-wide drainage and road systems without a permit from the parish.

    (b)

    A person desiring such a permit shall file an application with the parish designee, said application to contain the name of the person owning said structure and the type and dimensions thereof.

    (c)

    The parish designee, upon receipt of such an application, shall forthwith investigate and consider same and shall either approve or disapprove the permit on the basis of a determination that the structure or facility applied for will not unduly interfere with, retard and obstruct such drainage channels.
