§ 28-5. Same—Bayou Milhomme.

(a)

Restrictions for boat traffic.

(1)

Water skiing is prohibited in that area of Bayou Milhomme located north of the Bayou Milhomme Bridge to its intersection with Bayou Long and one-half mile south of the Bayou Milhomme Bridge in the community of Stephensville;

(2)

A no-wake speed shall be in effect in the southern tip of Bayou Long a distance of one-half mile, more particularly defined as that portion of Bayou Long located in Section 18, T15S, R13E, St. Martin Parish;

(3)

A no-wake speed shall be in effect along the entire area of Bayou Milhomme when the flood elevation in this area is 12.0 msl.

(b)

Danger area. Notice of said designation shall be posted in said area in such a manner that the general public will be aware of the restrictions on boat traffic.

(c)

Penalty. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction may be fined $200.00 or sentenced to serve 30 days in the parish jail, or both.
