§ 28-6. Same—Bayou Alexandre Bridge area.

  • (a)

    Restrictions for boat traffic. In order to assure the safety and well-being of the campers and visitors to the Bayou Alexandre Bridge area, and to prevent damage to property that would be caused by wave action from boats passing at high rates of speed; the speed of boat traffic in the designated danger area is hereby reduced to no wake speed.

    (b)

    Danger area. Notice of said designation shall be posted in said area in such manner that the general public will be aware of the restrictions on boat traffic.

    (c)

    Penalty. Any person violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction may be fined up to $200.00 or sentenced to serve 30 days in the parish jail or both.
