§ 36-16. Unlawful removal of recyclable materials.

No person, other than the current resident of the property on which recyclables are placed, or the waste disposal entity authorized by the parish, shall remove, pick-up, or transfer recyclable materials left at the roadside or curbside. Materials left at curbside or roadside in specially marked recovery containers are to be picked up by a parish designated carrier for the purpose of the removal of recyclable materials.

Anyone violating this section shall be subject to the fines and penalties set forth in section 36-15.
